prompt engineered
In the beginning was the word.
“Abracadabra” comes from an ancient phrase meaning I create as I speak.
Prompt engineering is a kind of spellcraft. Each phrase is a set of instructions, a mood, a world in waiting. I choose and arrange words until it feels like the words are choosing and arranging me. I love the way that coaxing images from AI systems still feels uncanny, and honestly most of the results feel and look like garbage. But if I generate enough, and then I spend time with that garbage and carefully select and edit it feels like finding gold.
Even then these images are not endpoints—they’re sparks. I usually carry them forward into my own tools and processes, reshaping them until they’re as much mine as the words that conjured them. The images below are in a more raw yet curated state.
